    Hi, Since you can access the Kentico site you are trying to apply the hotfix to without any issues, the connection string and database are correct. Perhaps the KIM is using a different user account to access your database and doesn't have correct permissions to connect? ...

    Also to mention I applied your Hotfix in kentico 7 so I guess that fixed it aswell.

    If your entire website root is under source control (and assuming the root of the website is a Kentico site) I'm guessing you already have that directory setup to "track changes" so if you install the hotfix, when you go to your source control tool, you should see that files A...
