Given license is in wrong format

Jerry Lam asked on December 29, 2023 16:30

When I tried to add a new license, it said "Given license is in wrong format". I just copied and pasted the key from the client portal and double-checked there were no spaces and with the correct version number. (Using 13.0)

What is the Kentico version or product you are using? Are you copying the entire key - including the
DOMAIN:....
PRODUCT:CX13
EXPIRATION:....
SERVERS:....

section?

5 lines in total.

Version is 13.0 so it's CX22.

CX22 is for Xperience by Kentico not Kentico V13. As I mentioned in this post .

You need to install Xperience by Kentico to be able to use that key.

Or, vice versa - since you are using Kentico Xperience 13, generate the license key for that version - the PRODUCT part of the key must say CX13. Not CX22
