Events as products in Kentico 12

I'm working with a client who used this solution back in Kentico 8. They're upgrading to Kentico 12 and mentioned that Kentico no longer recommends and/or supports the solution. Can you tell me what aspects of the solution are not recommended, and if not supported, what exactly that means? If we want to charge admission to a booking event, is there another recommended solution?

Well, that article was just proof of concept - it should still work but since Kentico 8 there were several API changes so you will have to update the code. But the idea should be still the same. In Kentico 12 I would maybe create a custom module for it to have a nice UI too.

Thanks for the response. I just wanted to make sure there was no major problem with that approach. Although I won't be using that exact solution, I will use some elements of it.
