D Dos attack

hi i have one site by kentico cms 7...my site is a social network site... after 2 week my site has error ... i check my Web analytics modules i have very visitor.....i finde this attack D Dos....

Plz HElp me

You might look into some firewall changes or adding an application firewall for ultimate protection.

You might also look into enabling flood protection.

Hi,

the flood protection is just one way how to protect the site. I agree with Brenden - you should look for more options how to secure the site from more point of views, it may be too late if all the requests will get all the way to the application - the flood protection won't help if the server itself is down already.

Is there any other way to stop D-DOS attacks other than flood protection and blocking IP addresses?

Blocking IP address is worst because you have to keep on monitoring and you can only block someone once the attack is done.
