adding in runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true" to web.config

Austin Harmon asked on October 19, 2021 18:44

Hello,

So we had an issue where our attachments weren't loading and found the solution in another question on this site to add runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true" to the web.config on the modules line. But I was doing some research and found that some developers had performance concerns when this line was added into the application.

So my question is, in order for the attachment links to work on the site without the .aspx extension is there another solution or is this the only solution that works?

Thanks, Austin

It ios required so the requests gets to Kentico to handle it. It is also mentioned in the documentation for setting up extensionless and custom URLs.

Thank you for your response, so I see it is nothing to worry about then and any performance issues I read about probably weren't valid. I haven't noticed any major issues once I put the setting in there, I just wanted to confirm it was the right course of action.

Thank you.
