Add new field to Message webpart

I would like to add fileupload/imageupload field to the MessageBoard webpart so that users could upload one image along with their Messagebulletin.

I have the source code available for the CMS.MessageWebpart dll but confused on how to add one more field to the files. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

To start, you typically don't use the dll to add a field. You start with the module class and add the field there. Then you make the modification within a cloned version of the webpart (if its even needed).

Thanks Brenden for the follow up.

I could see 4 to 5 files related with MessageBoard under module class, can you please take me to the correct file to add the extra field.
