Kentico CMS 7: 30+ New E-commerce Reports!

In version 6 we started enhancing our e-commerce solution for more advanced scenarios (new product types, support for shared and global data, easier customization model) and we continue doing it in version 7. The first things I would like to introduce you are the brand new e-commerce reports.
I am sure you will agree that reporting of any kind is a very important part of any business. Using reports always makes your business more predictable and helps you optimize it. That's exactly why we are introducing new e-commerce reports for your on-line business in version 7.


What's new

We made significant improvements to the old e-commerce reports and added many new ones. They are now grouped into categories according to the reported data. The categories are Sales, Orders, Products, Customers and Donations. There is a list of reports from each category below. Also, you can see report's detail by moving mouse over its small image.


Sales

Sales - progress of sales. You can switch between hour, day, week, month and year views.
Sales comparison - comparison of sales and the number of orders during two specific periods. You can compare days, weeks, months,  quarters of a year, halves of a year and years.
Sales by order status - helps you determine how much money you can receive from orders in the particular statuses.
Sales by department - helps you determine the departments from which the purchased products make the most money for you.
Sales by manufacturer - helps you determine which product brands make the most money for you.
Sales by country/state/ZIP code - help you determine the locations from which the customers make the most money for you.
Sales by currency - helps you determine order currencies which make the most money for you.
Average sales per customer - average volume of sales related to one customer. Both average and median values are available.
Average sales per order - average volume of sales related to one order. Both average and median values are available.


Orders

Number or orders - progress of the number of purchases. You can switch between hour, day, week, month and year views.
Number of orders by status - helps you determine how many orders are in the particular statuses.
Number of orders by payment method - helps you determine payment methods which are used the most.
Number of orders by shipping option - helps you determine shipping options which are used the most.
Number of orders by country/state/ZIP code - help you determine locations from which the customers make the most orders.
Number of orders by currency -  helps you determine currencies which are used the most.
Number of orders by customer type - number of orders completed by registered and anonymous customers.
Average number of orders per customer - average number of orders related to one customer. Both average and median values are available.
Average number of items per order - average number of order items in one order. Both average and median values are available.


Products

Inventory - list of products in your inventory. It helps you determine products which need to be reordered.
Top products by purchased units - products which are purchased the most. It helps you determine the total amount of purchased units of each product.
Top products by number of purchases - products which are purchased the most often. It helps you determine the total number of purchases of each product.
Top products in wishlists - products which are on customer's wish lists. It helps you determine the products which are supposed to be bought by the customers in the future.


Customers

Top customers by volume of sales - list of customers who spent the most on all their orders
 
Top customers by number of orders - list of customers who made the most orders
Top customers by credit - list of customers who have the most credit points
Number of customers by discount level - number of customers who are assigned with a particular discount level


Donations

Donations - progress of donations. You can switch between hour, day, week, month and year views.
List of donations - list of all received donations
Donations by country/state/ZIP code - they help you determine the locations from which the customers donate the most.
Average amount per donation - average amount of one donation. Both average and median values are available.
