[UniGrid] : Error during reloading data for certain role

SOS Childrensvillages asked on October 10, 2017 14:00

Hi,

we have a role and have set the UI as far into aliases as it will go:

Image Text

But when I try to view all aliases impersonating this role we get the following error: Image Text

The event log reads as so:

Message: Column 'ClassName' does not belong to table Table.

Exception type: System.ArgumentException
Stack trace:
at System.Data.DataRow.GetDataColumn(String columnName)
at System.Data.DataRow.get_Item(String columnName)
at CMS.DocumentEngine.TreeSecurityProvider.FilterDataSetByPermissions(DataSet sourceDataSet, NodePermissionsEnum[] permissions, UserInfo userInfo, Boolean allowOwner, Boolean deleteRecords, String cultureCodes, Int32 topN)
at CMSModules_Content_CMSDesk_Properties_Alias_AliasList.UniGridAlias_OnAfterRetrieveData(DataSet ds)
at CMS.UIControls.UniGrid.RetrieveData()
at CMS.UIControls.UniGrid.ReloadData()

We haven't made any changes to /CMSModules/Content/CMSDesk/Properties/Alias_AliasList.aspx and I don't think it's the webfarm as the Global Admin role does not come across this problem.

Please let me know if you need any more info.

Kind regards

First off, what version are you on?

Secondly, you said you didn't make any changes to that particular file, what about any other files or modules? For instance the associated XML file /CMSModules/Content/CMSDesk/Properties/Alias_List.xml?

Lastly, did you make any changes to the configuration of the CMS, Content or Pages modules?

Hi Brenden, Is there any progress on this issue? I can also add that all users with privilege level 'Editor' see this error although we grant them all Permissions/UI personalization rights. Kind regards

Technically speaking I am not Kentico support and I do not work for Kentico support.

Secondly, both Stack Overflow and the Devnet's Q&As are intended for Kentico community. Although Kentico Support monitors them from time to time, they cannot guarantee a timely response. If you need a help with Kentico, please feel free to send your message to support@kentico.com.

Lastly, I have not had any further progress on your issue as I have exhausted all my resources on this subject. My suggestion is to submit your question to Kentico Support and work with them. Assuming you have a valid Maintenance agreement, support is free.
