Synchronize page templates

Leandro Brito asked on March 5, 2015 13:26

We have 3 servers: DEV, STG and PRD

I’m getting an issue when try to synchronize page templates from STG to PRD, the files don’t show in the list.

I change the page template file, it appears on staging area of DEV but after the synchronization, it not appears on staging area of STG.

It's happening only with page templates files, documents work fine.

On your STG server, you need to turn on "log staging tasks" in the settings for Versioning and Synchronization. This will then log anytime something is synchronized from DEV to STG and put it in the STG log for you to sync to PRD.

Thanks for your answer Brenden.

Kentico administrator checked and re-save the settings but the issue still happening.

I noticed that it happens with css files too.

Are you page templates and stylesheets stored in the database or are they physical files? If you're using Portal development model then there should be no issue with those. If you're not, then the physical files won't be synced, only the object's definition.

Also ensure on your STG site that you are tracking changes for Objects in the Settings for the source server.

Hi,

Do you see changes made to other objects - like web parts, page types, etc being logged? If not, check the Log object changes setting mentioned by Brenden.
