Strange problems encountered after becoming a multi instance in Azure

Northern Lights asked on July 17, 2025 04:14

We have decided to follow Juraj's suggestion and deploy our admin site separately.

But we encountered some problems. Because the domain name of my testing environment is stage.exeample.com.

How can we keep our staging and prod consistent?

Can we use stagengadmin.example.com, or do we have to use admin.staging.exemplar.com?

At the same time, you mentioned earlier that the license for admin.xample.com is free. We need to perform additional operations to obtain this license and add it to the license key on the kentico admin page. Or we don't need create a new license for our website.

It's best to use a singular subdomain vs. multiple subdomains. I'd recommend something like the following:

staging-admin.domain.com or staging-cms.domain.com or stg-site-admin.domain.com staging.domain.com or stg-site.domain.com

You can generate all those license keys without issue in the Client portal for free, you may just have to wait a day or so for some of them.

I'd highly recommend against using something like:

admin.staging.domain.com. Many folks we've worked with have internal network issues that don't allow or play well with multiple subdomains.
