Staging issues after DB copy

We are having issues with staging from our pre-prod to our prod environment. Is there a way to clean up the tasks safely in our database?

In the past, we took a copy of prod and pushed it down to pre-prod which I am assuming is one of the reasons we are having these issues. After the sync down, we removed/added the correct staging connection back and deleted tasks from the database but we are still having issues.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It depends on what the issues are? Could you please post the errors or what the actual issue is? What is the staging configuration? Are you using bi-directional staging? If not, then how come on the production, which is the target, are any staging tasks logged?
