Question: Currently we have PDF files located in a downloads folder within the Media Library. We wish to create a search to just bring back results if the searching criteria is contained in the documents title or naming convention. So this is 'not' to search the text within the PDF doc's, just bring back a document listing if a word is in its title. Is there a web part to do this? Is this possible out-of-box in Kentico? Does this require custom work? Thanks!
I am afraid but it is not possible out of the box. At this moment I have two ideas: 1. If you will fill out the title and description for the media files in the admin UI (screenshot) or if you are OK just with the file name, you can use the general index and set it to media file object type. (screenshot) 2. You can create a custom index which will get the list of physical files and index the data you need.
