Hello,

Smart search is not working in site as well as in CMS/Site Manager/ Administration

I am getting the error request timeout when I search anything on site. Same error comes when I try to access Smart search from CMS.

Please advice.

Any errors in the Event Log? Is this your production or development environment?

Not knowing a lot based on your detailed question, here are some articles I'd recommend checking out.

https://docs.kentico.com/k9/running-kentico-on-microsoft-azure/troubleshooting-smart-search-on-azure

https://devnet.kentico.com/articles/troubleshooting-smart-search-with-external-storage

On top of checking the Kentico Event logs as David suggested, check the IIS event logs as well, they will lead you to more detailed information if there is no Kentico event log. Also, maybe update your question with more detailed information like your environment setup and what you have tried.
