The corporate site requires at least a base license with the way it is setup. The Contact management module requires you to have the EMS license. Check out the license comparison page.

Dear Faisal,

If you use Kentico 8, I assume the error could also be caused by a bug in a vanilla version.

Therefore I would suggest applying the latest hotfix (8.0.11) which should hopefully resolve the issue.

Anyway, Corporate Site should be fully working with with a Base license.

The attached image and message below when I try to select template by first steps and after insert a Base license!!!

This template requires one of the following license editions Enterprise marketing solution. Your license edition is Base.

As I mentioned, I believe the e-commerce site uses contact management, which is only available in EMS and not the base license. If you have the ability to get a development "localhost" EMS license, you should be able to get things started at least until you deploy to production.

Faisal,

The easiest way how you can apply the hotfix 8.0.11 is to do it via Kentico Installation Manager (KIM) which is installed along with Kentico itself.

Anyway, I checked the Corporate Site with this hotfix and it worked just fine, that is why I assume your issue is caused by a bug.

Hello,

I am facing the same problem and I have applied the hotfix 8.1.11 to a base installation of 8.1.

I am trying to develop an intranet and want the corporate site as well on the same instance to show the web parts available to colleagues. Both are development licences 1 Website Ultimate License.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hello Liam,

Well, Corporate Site website template contains some contact roles which system tries to import during site setup. However, Contact management is not available in Ultimate license, that is why you are getting those errors (Kentico 8 - Feature Matrix).

A solution in your case should be to exclude contact roles and statuses in Step 4 of the new site creation wizard. Please see the attached screenshot for more details.

Hopefully this should help you get rid of the errors.
