Set the widget layout dynamically via a macro?

I have a widget and I would like to add a property with a dropdown menu to set the layout of the widget. Is this possible via a macro?

Sadly you can only use Macros in the "Default Value" of widgets, and i believe they only stay a macro if the field is hidden.

So in order to set it dynamically, the value must be hidden, and must be a macro that will do the trick.
