Selling tickets with Kentico?

Kentico User asked on April 20, 2017 19:54

Can we use the kentico product as a ticket and sell them as tickets on the site? We can limit how many tickets we sell by tracking the inventory? Is this possible? Does kentico support selling tickets?

Thank you

You can use Booking Events and then enable them to be sold. Check this article out to make that modification to sell them.

Thanks Brenden. This helps a lot. Via variants will be able to sell different kinds of tickets? For example, member price, non-member price and a different price for people below certain age?

Thank you

For that we used coupon discounts because we members were assigned to roles and if you add a property to the user, you can also perform a check on their age.

I do not think that will work for us because the member, non-member and age thing is going to be based on honor system and the people buying the tickets may not be registered with the site. Is this still doable?

Yes you can still have discounts based on a specific fields value. The simplest form I was showing was by a membership or a role. You can make the registration process as simple or as complex as you'd like. The article I initially posted will help to get those attendees set and in those same methods, you can create a user account for them too and they wouldn't even know or need to on their own.
