Redirect after a page is unpublished

Bruce Williams asked on April 5, 2023 18:27

Release notes for Refresh 8 state the following:

Kentico Xperience 13 Refresh 8 (released December 13, 2022)New features:

  • Content management
    • Workflows and publishing – Content editors can now set a redirect after a page is unpublished, i.e., the Publish to date has passed or the page is moved to the Archived workflow step.

So far this new feature is not working for us. Are there configuration changes that need to take place other than the standard hotfix procedure? Has anyone else had luck with using this new feature with success?

Juraj was able to help us through one on one emails with each other. Turns out we needed to update the Kentico Nuget package to get this working properly.

What does it mean not working? Are there any errors anywhere? I just tried that on the sample Dancing Goat project and it worked fine, without any further settings.

Hey Juraj

It simply 404s and shows our configured 404 page. Nothing is present in the event log when the publish to date is reached or attempted calls to the unpublished page.

Check to be sure you have your time zone set in the Users settings. Once I did that the redirect was working correctly
