New editor role do not display all applications

Hello,

I am new to Kentico and I have a problem with the creation of an editor role.

I created a role and give it several permissions with the corresponding UI personalization. Unfortunately, when I connect to the admin with my editor some applications are missing (like Forms, File import, Recycle bin).

I am not sure I am perfectly clear. For example, I tried a new editor role “My editor” with only the form application. My steps were: 1. In the permissions I checked : Read form, Read Data, Edit Data and Delete date of the Forms module. 2. In the UI personalization, I checked : CMS, Administration, Content Management, and all lines in Forms. 3. I added Forms in the default dashboard.

Then I created an user with “Editor” privilege and “My editor” role. But when I connect to the admin, there is nothing in the dashboard nor in the applications list.

I tried to use the CMS Editor role and I also do not have access to all the applications.

I really do not understand which step I am missing. I am using Kentico 8.2. Can someone help me, please?

Did you add the user to the site?

Yes, and my user can access to the protected pages of my site and to the admin.

Hi, No one understand what is happening?

It is really strange. My role work on my localhost but not on my online website nor on my colleague’s localhost. I made a backup of my database and used it to restores my colleague’s database. We also exported the website from my localhost and import it in my colleague’s localhost. And it did not work.

We are really lost. Nobody had the same problem?

Hi, was there an answer to this - I've got the same problem with a new role that can't see anything in the Development application list except for Email Templates.

I should say, my issue is slightly different but appears to stem from the same issue. I've created a bunch of users with Administrator privilege and then given them access to everything via a new role but nothing is showing in the Application list.
