Missing the Start and Finished steps in the Automation process designer

I am missing the Start and Finished blocks in the Automation Process designer. I attempted to pull those on the designer with no luck also. I attempted this with Firefox and Chrome...

Am I missing a setting somewhere. The version I am working on is 8.1.4....

There's a large number of hotfixes to the automation process for versions past 8.1.4, i would go to the Download section, check hotfixes and search "Automation" and a large list is there, you may want to consider hotfixing and upgrading your instance and see if that fixes things first!
