Kentico already has a process that includes a task that updates the index when a page or content object is added or updated.

Are you trying to do something unique?

Hi Brenden, I have noticed when we change any content on widget or page that changes not reflected on the search. Currently I'm using the page crawler based search index for the site.

So I need to develop some kind of the functionality for the site when the person change any page content via the widget or page templates so in that case scheduler will identify which site got content change and based on the content the search index self rebuild.

What version of Kentico are you using? I would recommend to check this documentation on search engine. It describes how the updates are processed. By default it is basically immediately. In case of page crawler it can take couple of minutes. Therefore I would recommend to monitor the search tasks and also check Event log for any errors. It can also indicate an issue with web farm sync so check the Web farms app too and make sure the admin and front end apps are healthy and all web farm tasks are processed.
