Hi all
I'm interested to hear from anyone who has a MVC build and how they handle CI as the Continuous Integration module isn't supported for MVC.
From the code side this isn't an issue but for Kentico objects currently we have to use the staging module which is separate the main process and doesn't involve any source control.
Does anyone do the same thing or have other ways they approach this?
Dave
Hi David,
Please go through below URLs, so you got idea about Kentico MVC development approach.
I hope this will help you.
Hi Vasu
The CI module isn't supported for MVC so not really an option https://docs.kentico.com/k11/developing-websites/developing-sites-using-asp-net-mvc/supported-and-unsupported-kentico-features-on-mvc-sites
@Emmett Rose
I'm specifically talking about an MVC implementation which means the CI features aren't supported. https://docs.kentico.com/k11/developing-websites/developing-sites-using-asp-net-mvc/supported-and-unsupported-kentico-features-on-mvc-sites#SupportedandunsupportedKenticofeaturesonMVCsites-KenticofeaturesnotsupportedforMVCsites
Just a quick update, CI is now officially supported on K12+: https://docs.kentico.com/k12sp/kentico-development-models/supported-features-on-mvc-sites
