Kentico 13 installation error

Did you installed any of the Beta releases before? If yes, were they completely removed and uninstalled? I would also try using FileMon to see what is the GUID and then check whether there is the same GUID listed in c:\ProgramData\Package Cache\ folder and delete it if it is present.

Yes, I installed beta releases before. I removed them via the kentico uninstaller. How can I make sure that it was completely removed?

I'm not sure how to find the GUID of the installation process. I also tried removing all the folders in ProgramData/Package Cache but that didn't resolve it.

I would also try clearing the registry, especially Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kentico\

Removed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Kentico\CMS 13.0 folder recursively, installation still fails. There was no entry of Kentico 13 in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Kentico\

Are you able to install Kentico on other machine? I would say it is environment related issue. And then, you can e.g. move over the project files to your machine and configure IIS manually.

I was able to install Kentico 12. I will install the Kentico 13 on a VM and then copy the files, good idea, thanks.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same issue but it's the first time I'm installing Kentico. I'm getting the error "Installation failed - Waiting for installer service to become free..." and then nothing happens. I've tried unistalling and installing it again but I'm getting the same error.
