How to redirect Linked Document to main URL when redirect setting is disabled

Quang Lai asked on May 2, 2016 17:01

In the Settings > URLs and SEO > SEO - URLs setting, "Redirect page aliases to main URL" has been disabled (unchecked). However, we have a linked Document as part of a CSS List Menu, and we would like that to redirect to the original (master) document. What's happening now is that the URL becomes the linked document's NodeAliasPath.

We created page aliases that mirrors the linked document's NodeAliasPath at both the linked document and original document, making sure to select "Redirect to main URL" in the Alias Redirection form option. However, nothing has helped.

Is there a way to get the linked document to redirect to the original document in this situation?

Is there any other option

Hi Quang,

On the Pages / Properties / Navigation tab for the linked document, select URL redirection under the Menu Actions section and fill in the path you want to redirect to. This should set the link to the valuer you enter anytime the page is displayed in a menu.
