File Import Version 9

What happened to the file import module in kentico 9? Was very handy for adding multiple files to the tree.

Hello,

It was removed in version 9. Instead what you would now need to use is the Media Library or Page Attachments for bulk uploading. See Managing files in the Kentico documentation.

So, if you use page attachments and delete the page you'll loose the documents. The problem we have found with the media library is that your not able to assign security roles to the documents so anyone that gets a url for a file can access it.

Lawrence you can assign permissions to the media library but you can't get granular to a specific file, it's assigned to that whole media library or nothing.
