Hello Nicolas,

regrettably there isn't any kind of encryption supported in the current version for the files.

On the other hand, if you want functionality like this available in a future version of Kentico, you can vote for it (more users = higher priority), on the special page: Kentico UserVoice - Data Encryption

I don't believe there is. With Kentico you have the ability to store files in the file system AND/OR the database. If you store in the file system, couldn't a function like BitLocker do that encryption on the drive itself?

Hello friends,

I'm uploading the Files and they are stored into file system, which is how we want it, because we do not want to store it into the DB and make it huge size.

Is there a way to encrypt those file somehow?

In the other hand on Messaging system is there a way to encrypt/decrypt the subject and body that is stored into the DB? So we can meet the HIPAA compliance.

thanks in advance

Hello Victor,

Regrettably, from the side of Kentico this scenario is not supported. There is no way how to encrypt files on the file system and pass them decrypted into the application. The only possible way would be to use the encryption of a whole database. There really isn't built-in support for any kind of encryption in the Kentico at the moment. I'm really sorry.
