Didn't get 'Content Management' application, also missing pages application from the UI

I upgraded site from the kentico V7 to V8, after upgrade succeed, I am not getting applications like 'Content Management' and system application under 'Configuration'.

Please suggest

The change in the UI between 7 and 8 is quite significant, as you might expect. Are you able to share a screenshot the applications that you can see in the admin section?

It may be that the modules themselves are either not installed or not configured to you current user. Try these two things:

  • Open the modules application and check that the modules that you need address setup and assigned to your site.
  • check that your user has permissions to use those modules. The chances are that you're a global administrator, but still best to check the permissions.

Hi Matt,

I can access admin section, I checked 'modules' application but In 'UI Personalization' application, I am not getting CMS section here only display 'Content' section, please find the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/i8ofaa

Divya,

I suggest clearing your cache (hard clear) and resigning the macros. Most of the UI issues after a SUCCESSFUL upgrade are related to 1 or both of those things, especially from v7 to v8.

Divya, are you able to restart the site (or perhaps application pool) in IIS? That would certainly achive a 'hard clear'. :)

In your browser settings, delete cookies and temp files, that kind of hard clear.

Is the Upgrade Finish event logged in the Event log? Are there any errors in the Event log?
