We are currently investigating ways to deploy Kentico websites correctly. Our development process has us running Kentico locally, with a local database. When we want to promote our changes to our staging environment (and eventually production) we will need any CMS config changes (held in the local database) and code changes to be deployed to the appropriate environment.
Deploying the code is fine, we use TeamCity to build and deploy it to the server. The database is the issue. How do I deploy changes I've made (to document types, templates, web parts, etc...) easily?
Depending on your license, have you looked into the Content Staging module?
