Content Migration Issue

Hello Everybody,

I am facing one problem about pages order while i am moving the pages Dev to Staging Server. After moving the content Tree(Pages), page order(level) is doing changed at staging server.

I also noticed one more things can you please clarify on same. After moving the content Node ID and Page ID also changed at staging server.

This typically happens when a change was made on the target server (in your case staging) but not replicated on the client server (in your case dev). Easiest thing to do is make your changes you want in dev and sync all nodes to the staging server.

You should be aware of the following fact: when sychronizing, NodeId and PageId will or will not be the same on both DEV and PROD instances (depending on many factors). You will have to check the NodeGUID our DocumentGUID if you need consistency between instances.

Hello Brenden, Thanks for reply. I am doing same as what you are saying. After change on Dev Server when i am doing sync to staging server then pages order are doing change. I don't know why it is happening.

This is happening first time when node is not exist on staging server. Once it is moved and we are doing again changes in same node and sync to staging server then node order will remain same.
