CMS Admin blank screen

Vincent Michael asked on October 18, 2021 00:28

When I log to the cms administration as global administrator, all I get is a blank screen! (screenshot attached). I have tried logging on as another user but the result is the same.

I tried to remove all occurrences of the {%AppPath%} macro from the ~\CMS\CMSscrip ts\RequireJS\config.js file, but it didn't work for me as it did for others

Have you tried to add apps to your dashboard? Have you tried adding the Global Administrator role to your user account?

Are there any errors in the browser development tools? Clear entire browser cache and try using different browser.

@Brenden the user account is a global administrator and has been in use for over 2-years now. @Juraj I've cleared cache and use several other browsers and computers.

The error message I see when I inspect the page is: Failed to load resources: error 404 This error pointed to: require.js, and Config.js talking of resolve macros

Do the resources exist? What were the most recent changes? What is the environment setup?

We've seen issues where the Pages editor just doesn't work any longer in versions 8 and 7. We've attributed it to browser issues/updates as it still works with IE11 (which is not ideal)

@Juraj Ondrus, the resources are there in their right folders. This same admin dashboard worked perfectly 5-days before this issue came up. And as far as I know, I'm the only one that updates the website using it. The website is hosted in Windows Azure. I've requested the IT unit of the computer to help me restart the Web App later in the night to be sure it's not an issue with the cached app pool. I'm still waiting to get their notification once the App is restarted.

It seems that something was changed on the Azure side if you did not do any deployments or any other changes in Kentico. I hope the Azure app restart will help.
