Change Search button text to icon

Hi all, I would like to change the search box on our site using the Smart Search Box web part. Currently it looks like this but we would prefer to do something similiar to this or this

Here are a few ways I typically use.

  • If you use the out of the box smart search box, you can create a new webpart layout.
  • You can create the box and icon using standard HTML and javascript (to redirect on click).
