Bulk addition to workflow

Alan Isaacson asked on August 10, 2016 15:02

Hi everyone,

I have created various basic workflows that have the relevant page type scope set against them. When I click on pages however most of them do not include the relevant pages I would hope to find included. The pages were imported for us via the API (I believe), is there a way to bulk add the pages to workflow or should they automatically pickup workflow when an editor tries to edit one of them?

Hi Alan

When you assign a new WF to a scope, the pages will not show up in the WF automatically unless someone start to work on them. But there is a way to double check if the WF was assigned correctly. Go to one of those pages, go to Properties > Workflow and see if the WF you assign is been set there. If so, it's correctly been assigned. The page is sitting at the previous stage which was published before the WF was assigned.

Are they part of same page type? If yes, below will help you

Goto Workflow -> Select your workflow -> Go to Scope -> Select the page type and click Save this will create scope of workflow.

If not check this https://docs.kentico.com/display/K81/Applying+workflows+to+pages. It has covered all complex cases to handle

Thanks both of you. For some reason I assumed they would appear straight away. They do function properly when re-edited.
