Automatically Synching Media Files

Does anyone have a tutorial, advice or sample configuration for setting up a scheduled task to automatically sync media files in Kentico 8?

There really isn't anything. You can copy files all day without an issue but if they aren't imported into Kentico then they aren't useful at all. There is a module created, but I'll warn you it's for v5.5 and the API has changed significantly since then.

What about using staging module to achieve this? Check the Documentation: Staging large files and Automatically synchronizing staging and integration tasks

You can also consider using shared network drive for storing media files.

That works Martin from Kentico to Kentico, but what about bringing files into Kentico from an external source on a scheduled basis?

I agree with brenden, you may end up with custom service or module to handle it.
