404 Errors in Webmaster Tools

Dear team, I encounter hundreds of 404 errors in google webmaster tools for files with double ectension aspx.aspx. For example .../search.aspx.aspx Where does this come from an how can I fix it? I am using CMS 5.5 Thank you for an answer and solution.

Hello Barbara,

what exactly is logged in the Event log? Please post here a full error message or some screenshot.

Also let me inform you thatversion 5.x of Kentico is not supported anymore since Kentico 8 has been released.

Hello Martin,

sorry about that. I diddn't know. Thank you for still answering me. In the event log there are only Application errors for the visit from the googlebot. Accordingly there are hundreds of 404 crawling errors in the google webmaster tools. All for pages with double extension aspx.aspx. For example www.../disclaimer.aspx.aspx. Of course there are no such pages.

Hi Barbara,

please post here a real URL of your website and it's wrong record from the Google tools, so I can compare them. Are you using sitemap file? Were you using double aspx extension in the past?
