Does your Content Management System support RTL and Eastern Languages?

   —

Surfing the Web at work, again.

Right, that’s a very common question. In addition, it’s often followed by some of these:
  • Can the Website that we are developing be easily translated into other languages?
  • What about the user interface - can we translate it into a Bi-directional language like Arabic?
  • And how about the Chinese letters?
Yes, yes and yes are the correct answers in case of Kentico CMS.

Let’s illustrate this on particular examples - websites that have been recently listed in our Partners section.

Ahlan Malaysia – Right to left language
The Image Works from Dubai, UAE have just finished the Ahlan Malaysia (“make yourself at home in Malaysia”) web site, which is in Arabic, while their other site - Lawand Turism is bilingual – in both Arabic and English. Let me also mention their other site - Dubai Fashion Week. It isn’t related to our topic, but I simply like it for its clear layout.

Royal Caribbean site – Eastern language

While Mazda Malaysia or Mazda Philippines will surely attract car lovers (CX-9 is my minion), the Royal Caribbean site is bringing us back to our topic – it’s a good example of multilingual solution made in two globally spoken languages – English and Mandarin Chinese. Besides this, isn’t the design of the landing page inventive and catchy? I would say so about this website developed by XM-Asia-Pacific from Singapore.
