Accent insensitive search

   —
This article describes how to search for words, where special characters set the accent of the word, regardless the fact if there are any special characters or not. This type of search is called 'accent insensitive search' and there are two ways how to perform such search task.
Please find the two approaches bellow.

1) One possible option would be to include the collation change directly in the search query that is defined for every document type in the 'Site manager-> Development-> Document types-> <docType>-> Edit-> Queries'.

2) You could also change the collation of the database however it could result in some data inconsistence so we would recommend you to take a full database backup before you decide to go for this solution.
