Versioning on cms.file page type

does version work on the cms.file page type? And does it store the versions if the file is edited via webdav?

The page type does have versioning enabled for it and when I tested a change on an image, it created a new version for that as well. not sure about WebDav though, you might have to test that on your own. FYI, WebDav is only available in Ultimate and EMS.
