Upgrading 8.0 to 8.1 a site running with in VS2013 server

My instance of Kentico is running in the built in IIS inside of VS2013. Should I use the manual upgrade?

You can use KIM or the manual upgrade. Make sure to backup up your project and database. Read the manual instructions carefully since there is an XML manifest to delete some existing files.

Hello David,

Yes, you can use both.. and I would recommend you to wait till the next week when the updated upgrade procedure should be released... there was a one issue which occurred under some circumstances so our developers had already been able to fix it, the new upgrade is now tested and it will be released in a few days.
