Two different versions of Newtonsoft.Json.dll needed in two different Projects on .NET on a single a

I am working on a desktop application which has many projects (.NET based) using different versions of NewtonsoftJson.dll. After having read article https://devnet.kentico.com/articles/referencing-multiple-versions-of-the-same-assembly-in-a-single-application, how and where can we specify the <codebase> attribute for each of the projects ?
