Truncation of long Document Name

We are using a custom document type to enter informational text to show in our drop down menu. The document name field is 450 characters (as it is in the Page (menu item) document type). When the value is returned to the menu (we're using the CSSListMenu webpart), it is truncated to 100 characters.

Is there a way to have it return the full document name?

I've ran into this before using the forums, unfortunately, Kentico told me it's a limitation of the database and the option to use full text search. So this could be partly in the design of how the node and aliases work in conjunction with the database issue.

Either way, I'm guessing you'd need the source code to make those changes. I'd suggest using a hierarchical viewer or a repeater if its a simple navigation, those won't have limitations around them like the CSSListMenu.
