The form component is in an invalid state and cannot be loaded.

We have migrated the site from Kentico portal engine to Kentico 13 .Net Core model (13.0.73). On the existing forms we are not able to load the components(form controls), it is showing the below error message.

"The form component could not be loaded. This form will be hidden on the live site until the issue is resolved. The form component is in an invalid state and cannot be loaded."

Hi Raushan,

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to automatic migration of forms from the portal engine to MVC. You would need to re-create your forms from scratch.

If you'd need to keep the data however, I'd recommend exporting your current forms data from the DB, then creating your forms with the same field names, and importing the data back so that it can be viewed in the CMS admin.

Hi Raushan,

How did you migrate site? Did you use export/import?

Cheers, Jeroen

The forms in Kentico 13 are different from forms in Kentico 12. The KEntico 12 forms are using the old form controls but this was removed in Kentico 13 and you have to use the form builder and form components.

Thanks Dmitry Bastron.

We will go with importing data from the old form.
