Staging association of page type and site

I've noticed that changes in the Sites tab of page types do not trigger a staging task. Is this deliberate or is there something I need to do to ensure this happens?

Actually, it was my mistake. I was looking at staging tasks for the wrong staging server. The staging task is there when I switch to the site I was adding to the page type. Thanks for response anyway.

I assume this is seen as part of the Sites (the global objects) and therefor not being synchronized via staging:
