Search returning results from multiple sites

Dave Nelson asked on October 22, 2020 15:29

We have 2 web sites on one instance of Kentico and want the search results for each website to only include content for that particular website. Currently we are seeing results that include both websites.

What can I do to make sure only one website's content is displayed in search results?

Hi,

what are you using Portal Engine or MVC?

I assume you have 1 index, so before the options on either, why do you have 1 search index for both sites? You could just create dedicated index for each site, this would also make it easier to update just one.

Each site has its own index.

Also, it is only the home page of the second site that is appearing in the search results, which makes it even more confusing.

Correction, the Home page and Search Results page for the second site appear in the first site's search results.

What development model are you using Portal Engine or MVC?

What type of search index have you configured?

How are you displaying the results?

Does it also show from duplicate items you search using preview directly from the Admin interface? Image Text
