Restrict duplicate record

Hello,

Is there any way in Custom tables to have my own field that I can make sure is not duplicate. My requirement is that I need to have usernames which will be unique. i could not find right field type in Kentico.

Create a custom event for that custom table item type and "throw" an exception if it's not unique and it will bubble up to the UI with the exception text you enter.
