Rename website project in Visual Studios

John Fu asked on December 12, 2014 09:54

With all Kentico 8 solutions, 2 projects are included by default. The CMSApp_MVC project, and the website project. For some bizarre reason, the website project was named wrong. I can't figure out how to rename it, as the context menu does not have it.

How can I rename it?

Hi,

what is the physical folder name and name of the virtual folder? This may be the source of the project name in VS.

Hi!

Also... Try just selecting the project and pressing the key F2. It usually works for renaming things. I highly doubt that it will help this time, but it's easy and thus worth a try.

Juraj, the folder name is different to the project name. Also, I'm currently running the site using vs's web server only, so no virtual folder was set up.

F2 doesn't work either. I've never come across a project in VS before that doesn't have a .csproj file. If there was one, renaming would be easy.

Any other ideas?

Hi,

The csproj is available with web application projects. Web site projects do not have this. I have tried to Google this as well but I have not found anything that looks like it has worked for all the people.
