rename page removes from cms

Custom MVC website

A web editor tried to rename a pagename to change what the website menu showed and did something wrong (I don't know what they did). But when I go to see that page it exists and works fine over the Internet, which means the CMS is serving it properly, and yes I did clear the server cache and my browser cache. However, when I try to go in and edit the webpage in the CMS it shows it in the left side directory list and shows the attached webparts and sub pages under that page, but I click on it to edit it and get "The page does not exist, it may have been deleted by someone else." What do I do to restore that page, because I can't click on it to go to the Versions tab or anything like that? I'm thinking I have to go in to the database and rename the page manually...any guidance please?

check the page's DB data. Looks like there is some inconsistency.
