Removed widget still up on website.

Hi all,

I seem to have run into a strange snag. I have a widget, a static html, that displays a logo on one of my pages. In the back-end, the widget is located at a widget zone in a page template. The logo is no longer needed now, so I removed it and all looks well in the design tab of the page as the logo is no longer there.

But when I look at the live site I still see the logo. I have cleaned my browser cache, the cache in kentico and restarted kentico to no avail. The widget is is not there at the templates page and it's not at the design tab of the page. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm using Kentico 8.2. Thank you.

Put the widget back give it the same name. Then move it to another zone. Then Delete the Image first then the widget. Convoluted but worked for me with similar problem, not sure why.

There is a good chance the page still has the actual content in the database and is displaying it. Take a look on the Properties>General tab of the page in question and towards the bottom there is a button "Edit regions & webparts", click it. It will show you the editable and static images and text webparts that are on the page. Click one of the links and you can see the content contained in the web part. Removing that should resolve your issue.

Hi, thanks for your response. I did what you mentioned but I just get a blank page when I select "Editable web parts" or "Editable regions".
