I reinstalled Kentico trying to correct another issue and now a new issue has surfaced. When I reinstall the software the installation fails saying "incomplete web project location c:\inetpub\www\Kentico8"

Is that directory cleaned out before you tried to install the website again?

You might try changing the directory and see if that resolves the issue.
