Regarding to displaying Product categories in transformation

Rahul Raghuvanshi asked on September 16, 2014 12:31

Hello,

I am developing e-commerce features in my Kentico8 website, I amreferring Kentico E-Commerce sample website for features implementations.

I have created some site categories and applied on some products, now I need to display category list under the associated products section just like its shown in e-commerce sample website under the each product sections.

I gone through with the e-commerce sample where using "Category list" webpart its displaying, I used the same webpart and property settings except transformation that is in e-commerce sample its like "EcommerceSite.Transformations.Categories", but I am getting default set transformation in category list webpart is "CMS.Root.CategoryList".

As I have taken blank template website, didn't getting "E-CommerceSite" page types.

Please suggest me how can I get site categories with hyperlink, do I need to create any custom implementation or is there any built in which I can use.

Thanks in advance for your time and support.

What I would do is export the E-Commerce Transformations page type from your sample site, and import it into you blank site. This will give you all the E-Commerce transformations. Of you could manually copy the code from them to the other.

Find the page type in the list of page types and click the ellipsis ( ... ) and select export. It will export that page type and you can download it and then go to Sites and import it into the site missing it.
