Presentation URL isn't valid

Danielle Walker asked on September 11, 2020 02:58

Im doing some MVC training & using a license from my work. I'm setting up a new blank MVC site. The domain is all setup, the license is installed in Kentico, but when i try to change the domain or presentation URL i get an error.

Actually even if i don't change anything for the domain\presentation url it throws an error on just clicking save.

Apparently a http:// URL isn't valid as its not a http:// URL.

As im doing MVC training, i ended up cloning the Git repo for MedioClinic, followed the git readme to get it all up & running... and then changed the license, domain\presentation url for it with no issues.

Suspect it's an issue with a blank MVC project (installed via kentico installer)... it may have inserted a blank space somewhere which i didn't notice (and thus didn't remove).

Have you checked the Event log for any more detailed errors? I would say there are macro related exceptions logged.
Make sure the hash string salt is the same in the MVC app and in the CMS app and then, re-sign the macros as described in the documentation.
