Page template reverting back to previous saved state

Jon Tibbetts asked on May 17, 2016 16:57

I have an issue where one of my page templates that was originally developed in version 5.5. The problem I'm finding is the following. We updated the page icon for the page template. But decided we would just keep is like the original version. But now for some reason even after I successful role back the version. The page template seems to be in a new format with the portal design. I will roll back the version, but it seems that the next morning the page template is back to the new portal template design. Also we are currently at version 8.1.6

How can I permanently roll back the version.

So what exactly is the problem? Is this an aspx template and should not be a portal template? Are you missing webpart zones? What is rolling back or changing?

The problem is the page template even though I roll back the version seems to revert by the next day on its own to the newer version. Here you can see the difference between the two versions. The page template originally was a aspx template but why does the page template by the next day revert back to the newer portal template?

Were your upgrades from 5.5 to 8 successful? I mean, ANY errors at all which were not addressed and resolved? Seems something is not processing correctly. Have you contacted Kentico Support about this issue? They may have more information for you than the QA forum will.

Our upgrade was successful, we have been on 8.1.6 for about 14 months now ish. We have not contacted Kentico support yet, but that was going be my next avenue. Thanks for your input.
